You’ve heard Homer Simpson sputter “I’m going to Moe’s” a million times, and this year for Halloween, you can say the same thing and actually mean it.
In the spirit of the holiday, REPLAY Lincoln Park (2833 N. Sheffield) is dressing up its rear bar as the infamous Moe’s Tavern from “The Simpsons,” donning new digs to impersonate everyone’s favorite cartoon bar from now through Halloween.
REPLAY’s new look will include a bunch of fun touches: old-school tube televisions will broadcast clips of Channel 6 newsman Kent Brockman, Duff Beer will take over the tap handles and the cocktail menu will go cartoon, with drinks inspired by the TV show like a “Flaming Moe” and “Frozen Squishee.” Being an arcade bar, REPLAY will offer classic Simpsons arcade and pinball games for free, as well as free Duff Beer coozies. And, for the “pics or it didn’t happen” crowd, there will be a live Duffman impersonator available for photo opps.
The Moe’s pop-up is already set up, so you don’t have to wait to see it. We also have a first look at the bar with our photo gallery above. REPLAY Lincoln Park opens at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday and Sunday.
